MEET ONE OF OUR FAMILIES . . . .

Sharon was approved for the Habitat program in March 2008. She is a housekeeping supervisor at a local resort. She has one son who is autistic. Sharon and her son live in a family owned trailer that is in serious need of repair. The house has plumbing, electrical and mold issues. The floors have numerous holes.

We celebrate Sharon’s success in the Habitat homeownership program this Saturday, August 28^th, 10 a.m., at the House Dedication for the home recently built for Sharon and her son thanks to the financial and volunteer support of Thrivent Builds Homes program and the local Horry-Marion Thrivent Chapter.

Habitat homes are NOT GIVEN AWAY! Sharon will have a mortgage to repay. The gift from Habitat is the no-profit, no-interest mortgage. Sharon’s mortgage payment each month will help other families realize their dream of homeownership through Habitat for Humanity.
