Habitat Partner Family Gets A New Home!

Thanks to hours of hard work from Habitat for Humanity volunteers, the Stackhouse family now has a new home! In addition to volunteer hours the Stackhouse family also worked many hours towards earning their home. Congratulations on a job well done. Enjoy your new home!

Habitat for Humanity of Horry County hosted students during their spring break in March to help build or rehabilitate homes for families in need of affordable housing. The 36 students from Vanderbilt University, Siena College, and Alfred State College participated in Habitat for Humanity’s national alternative break program, Collegiate Challenge. Individuals, church groups and area restaurants fed these hard-working, civic minded students lunch while they were here helping to improve the Horry County community. A big thank you goes out to our sponsor TruGreen Commercial.

Additional thank you's go to:

Mellow Mushroom (Dinner Host), Ripley’s Aquarium, Firehouse Subs in Socastee, Fatz,T-bonz, Zaxby's 544, Turtle Market, Donzelle's, Mrs. J. Saldo, Cheryl Roach w/ Trinity Presbyterian Womans group, Sue Erwin w/ NMB Womens Club, Joan and the XYZ Seniors group of Union United Methodist Church.

And thank you to our Site Volunteers who made this a great learning experience for the visiting students.
